Crooked Lab Chemist Busted!

On August 30, 2012, a State Lab in Massachusetts was ordered to be shut down by MA Governor Deval Patrick.  Nearly a month later, an arrest has finally been made.  State police arrested thirty-four-year-old Annie Dookhan of Franklin, Massachusetts, at her home today.  She has been accused of obstruction of justice and pretending to hold a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Massachusetts.  According to an article published by CNN, “The former chemist has admitted to wrongdoing during her nine-year employment with the Department of Public Health.”  However, Massachusetts officials are left with the sentences of 1,140 people of whom are currently serving time in prison.  Due to the criminal evidence under investigation provided by, or at least partly provided by Dookhan at the time of conviction an approximate figure of around 30,000 drug cases are now under review.  In addition, according to a preliminary investigation Dookhan may have handled 60,000 samples involving drug cases and convictions in the state of Massachusetts from 2003-March 2012.

Illegal Alien Obama Uncle Has Hardship Lifted Off Massachusetts License after OUI

New Hampshire DWI laws.  You may have read about the recent highly publicized case of Onyango Obama, President Obama's uncle, who has lived illegally in the United States for decades.  What brought recent attention to this case was the lifting of the "hardship license" (sometimes called a "Cinderella license" or "work license") status from his Massachusetts drivers license after 45 days.  This licensing issue was spawned by a drunk driving arrest.  So if you have been arrested for DWI in New Hampshire, you may ask yourself, "what about me?"  Well if you were arrested for DWI or aggravated DWI in New Hampshire, you won't get a work license.  That is because under New Hampshire DWI laws there is no such thing as a "Hardship License" or "Work License", unlike Massachusetts and most of our neighboring states.
